Catherine is experienced in working with ensembles from coaching chamber groups to directing musicals and conducting full symphony orchestras. A regular conductor with The Award-winning Cobweb Orchestra, Catherine leads orchestral study days and conducts concerts in York and across the North of England as well as running a weekly open-orchestra in York for rusty players and their dusty instruments (see below). ![]() If you'd like to join in one of Catherine's events or would like her to come and work with your group please get in touch. The Cobweb Orchestra is a friendly and welcoming community orchestra which exists so that people can enjoy playing music together. It is open to anyone who wants to come along and join in, whether they have just started learning an instrument, have been playing for years, or haven't played for years. There are:
Do feel free to pop along and play with us on a Thursday evening (see dates below) at New Earswick Methodist Church Hall, YO32 4AQ. Click here for a map. It's on the junction between Haxby Road and Lime Tree Ave. The hall is attached to the back of the church itself and there is ample parking on Lime Tree Ave and in front of the shopping parade.
